Project 52 - Week 24 - Coffee

It seems like that I only get these Project 52 theme pictures done anymore.

Hopefully I will get other pictures done  

Once the flowers are out more I will have lots to take... 

This week's theme is

Project 52 - Week 24 ~ Coffee

I don't drink coffee very much anymore but this week I decided to try some cold brewed coffee.  I think I like it better then hot coffee ~ maybe because I do put sweetener in my cold brew coffee.  I made some Mocha Caramel Iced Coffee and it was so good... Project 52 - Week 22 - Natural

I am a few days behind in posting last week's Project 52.

The theme was

Project 52 ~ Natural

I decided that for this theme I would pick the sunrise.  Last week I was up early which is kind of unusual for me as I am a night shift worker.  But since my hubby left for downstate to work, my sleeping habits have been kind of screwed up.  Anyways one day last week I was at 4 am and was able to view the sunrise.  I loved how the sun was shining through the trees in front of the house.  So out I was in my pyjamas taking pictures... Not sure what the neighbors would think if they saw me.. and hubby would be horrified if he knew what I had done... But here are the pictures I took with no editing what so ever... Just Natural.

Project 52 ~ Week 21~ Play

I am not sure where the days go but they seem to be gone before I know it.

This week for Project 52 our theme is

Project 52 ~ Play

When I first joined this group and thought about doing pictures each week I had planned on doing pictures that I had just taken or at least taken close to the time that I needed to post it.  When Play was brought up for a theme I thought perfect... a couple of weeks ago I had taken pictures of a couple of bunnies in the back yard, playing.  So I went to look at those pictures as they were still on my computer.  I never got the bunnies together so they didn't really portray play.  I had to dig back in my archives and I remembered taking pictures of my nieces playing in the park in the spring.  I  also had used a new app at that time to scrapbook the pictures.  

So here is my interpretation of play:

Barns

It was a couple of weeks ago that I went out and took these pictures of 

Barns

There still are a few that I need to go back and take.. the road was busy and I didn't want to be parked on the road for long periods of time as the roads weren't that wide and there was too much snow in the ditches.

Project 52 Week 9 - Something that starts with F

This week's theme for Project 52 is

Something that starts with "F"

The first thing that came to mind was fire.

The Calumet Fire Station was built in 1899.

The building costed just over $20,000 at that time for the architectural work, stone work and carpentry.

It was also known as the Red Jacket Fire Station.

Today this building is used for the Upper Peninsula  Fire Fighters Memorial Museum.

 

I just love the architecture of the buildings here and the history.  There is so much to learn and so little time.

Project 52: Delicate

A young friend of mine has started up her own photography company and she takes such wonderful pictures.   Her name is Briana and her website is Simply Bree Photography and her blog is Simply Bree.

This year she has started Project 52.  Each week she has picked a topic and will be doing a picture to portray that topic.  I am a couple of week's behind and week's 3 theme is:

 Delicate.

The other night when I was heading out the door I noticed the frost on the windows... This was the perfect interpretation of delicate.  As I didn't have time to take out my camera, I did this shoot with my phone.  I did have to do some editing as my yellow escape was in the picture and I really didn't want it to be seen...and although it is still in the picture you can't see it.  I used  lomo-ish edit for this picture.
